How can I be saved?

A profound problem has plunged the world into evil and separation from God. This problem is sin, yours, ours.

And in the face of this, the Judge of the universe, God himself, will bring us before his tribunal at the end of the world, at the final judgment.

The fact that this world will not last forever but will have an end and be replaced, the fact that there is a day when we will have to give an account to God and be judged by Him, all of this is confirmed by three witnesses.

1) First, the suffering of creation indicates that this world is in agony, even if God allows some beauty and joy to remain on earth. This agony of Creation is caused by the sin of humankind.

2) The second witness to the need to be saved and to escape God's wrath is our conscience. Who can honestly say that they have never been accused by their conscience because of their sins and evil thoughts? Conscience, when enlightened, is a foretaste of the final judgment.

3) Finally, the third witness to the fact that there will be a judgment and that we must urgently get ourselves in order before the Great Judge is the Word of God, the Bible.

We must therefore ask ourselves the following question: what must I do to be saved?

Long ago, this question was posed to Christ, as well as to the apostle Peter, the apostle Paul, and many other disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Here is a selection of their answers.

Our prayer is that God's grace will come to you.

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. (Bible)

Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household. And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. (Bible)

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Bible)

For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not counting people’s sins against them, and has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God! (Bible)

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Bible)

Whoever believes in the Son [of God] has eternal life; whoever does not believe in the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (Bible)

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has passed from death to life. (Bible)

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all. (Bible)

There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Bible)

Christ, who was offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. (Bible)
